With the Shore Control Device, you can quickly check the spring characteristic of your handheld hardness tester with just a few simple steps. This ensures that the hardness tester measures with correct spring force between calibration intervals.
The control device consists of a special test stand with a balance beam ad sliding weight for Shore A or D. To perform the control, tighten the handheld hardness tester into the test stand and move the weight adjusted on the balance beam on the scale to the mark with the desired hardness. Due to the weight shift, the off-center-mounted balance beam tilts and presses on the indenter of the hardness tester via a stilt. If the device displays the hardness value correctly, it continues to operate with the correct spring force.
Verification of spring force between calibration dates
With the control device for Shore A and Shore D, you have another option to check the spring characteristic of your handheld hardness tester between calibration intervals. In combination with Bareiss reference elastomer blocks and control rings, you can verify all properties of your handheld hardness tester. By regularly checking your measurement system, you ensure the quality of your results.
