Between the necessary calibration intervals, you endure the measuring capability of the hardness testing device using the standard blocks. A comparative measurement on one of the calibrated test speciemens provides insight into the condition of the indenter, displacement, and spring force of the hardness tester. If the device displays the correct hardness of the standard block during the reference measurement, it continues to work reliably. The plane-parallel test specimens, embedded into metal, lie flat on the testing surface for accurate measurements. They are available for all Bareiss measuring devices in various hardness degrees according to Shore, Asker, IRHD, Barcol, or factory standards.
All standard blocks are calibrated by us according to ISO 17025 and can be reused multiple times with appropriate annual recalibration.
Reference material embedded in a metal frame
By encasing the reference material in metal, a plane-parallel surface contact of the standard block is ensured during the verification of the hardness testing device.
Standard blocks in metal mounting
Case with tolerance indication
DAkkS accredited calibration certificate
or factory calibration certificate
Daily secure measurement results
With the help of the standard block, you regularly check the indenter, displacement, and spring force of your hardness tester between calibration intervals. This ensures that contamination and damages to the indenter and hardness tester are quickly detected, and you always receive accurate measurement results.
Verified quality with DAkkS accredited or factory calibration certificate
Thanks to our in-house accredited calibration laboratory according to ISO 17025, we can ensure the highest quality for our standard blocks.
